Short version is that it will need a full suspension refresh, brakes redone, leaking PS hoses and res, cooling system refresh (leaking from the expansion tank during the end of the test drive but not overheating), valve cover leak, slight vanos rattle (but I'm a e30 guy so not sure ). Interior is worn with typical e36 issues, power seats are good, headliner is stapled in place. Engine pulls fine, no noticeable drive train issues (clutch, trans, diff). Body looks pretty solid. A few small surface rust areas, jack points are solid though missing 3 of the under body pads and slight surface rust, underbody looks ok but I didn't jack it up for a closer look.Guy handling the sale for his boss was good to hang out with, admits that he knows nothing about BMW, open to info, and is more a old school VW guy and works on other cars trucks for his own use. Boss travels and left it him since he sees him as a car guy.
