Is this what a $5k E30 looks like now a days? Or just optimistic on the price a bit. Car has potential for sure and lower than average mileage.

Looks like a reasonable asking price compared to what I've been seeing, unfortunately. I'd like to find another 318is, but anything half way decent is pricey. Been looking for a 528e manual instead...

Its not the prettiest car, but given the work done and if the rust repair was done properly its not far off. It'll sell for somewhere in the 4k range I bet.

I'm assuming they cropped it to hide their license plate.....

What the fuck was his thumb doing during this picture that it was so indisposed it couldn't break away to block the plate like he did in the back!?  These are the things that keep me up at night.

This seems reasonable, looks to be a late 2003 which is good. Early 2003 and older S54 have a different connecting rod/rod bearing/rod bolt design which is more prone to sudden failure rather than just wearing out and needing replacement every 100k like the 2003.5+ rod bearings do. This one would be due for a fresh set of bearings based on cautious maintenance practices as oil analysis  can only show wear trends, not actual bearing status.  The owner of EAG told me he won't even touch early E46 M3s because the rod bearings fail even after replacement.

11k would be a great deal.
