DrLeadFoot
How was the install on that? Need to do it on Robin's car pretty soon as hers has a u-joint going bad as well. Not bad. Take off the drivers wheel. 2 8mm 12point bolts and some careful prying and hammering. Do the bottom first. Some WD40 a day before the removal wouldn't be a bad idea. B C
Rowfull @ bobistheoilguy Im glad it exists because there is some real in depth discussion and useful info going on there but there is something comical about an entire forum dedicated to arguing about the best oil. There are some real Amsoil leg-humpers there Valvoline and Castrol FTW Fite me IRL if you disagree

DrLeadFoot
Copper RTV along with OEM gaskets. With those eBay headers I don't want to risk anything. Just need a tune now to make the engine light go away and pick up 3 horsepower. Over all, pretty happy with the car. It's fun! DrLeadFoot
Copper rtv is good stuff, what is the CEL on for, Cat? Who is doing the reflash? Working with Tuning Tech by Frank Smith for the tune. Apparently my DME is locked out, probably an Evolve tune, and I cannot read/flash the DME. Going to have to by a DME, send it to Frank Smith and he will bench flash it with my VIN. FUN! -Got the trans fluid and filter replaced. Used Redline ATF. -Radiator was leaking so I replaced that. -Popped in a metal water pump. -New lower coolant temp sensor. -New thermostat. -Put in new bolts and OEM gaskets between the headers and stock exhaust. EBay ones blew out in 500 miles. My clock spring just broke so that will go in shortly. Airbag light is on and sometimes randomly honks. B C
My dad was in the business of tracking people down for repo guys and would often have to follow people around town until they stopped long enough for a tow truck to arrive and take their car. One of his cars that he would use for this developed a short in the alarm system and would honk randomly. cover = blown. DrLeadFoot
Lost brakes today while I was on a home tour with out of town buyers. Thank the BMW Gods that I was going super slow coming to a stop sign when the pedal hit the floor. I have been pushing the current pad/rotors tonthe limit and had a brake job on my radar anyways so this pushed me to get it done. A box in my garage has been sitting for about a year with 330i calipers, carriers and pads. So here we go! 330i on left, 325xi on right. Also turned over 200,000 miles! Missed the moment due to being on the phone with a seller but this is close enough. Measuring miles instead of mins.
